A new facility in Birmingham has been launched by Hexaware Technologies as part of their next phase of expansion in the UK. The facility aims to create 250 jobs.
An Indian-owned worldwide provider of information technology and digital solutions, Hexaware Technologies is headed by CEO R Srikrishna.
Hexaware established a prototype facility in the city early this year to offer on-site assistance for several customers. Since then, Hexaware has been persuaded to accelerate its growth in the West Midlands while extending its service portfolio due to an increase in demand in sectors like application operations, End-User Computing (EUC) services, and ServiceDesk support, a company statement said.
As per the release, over 60 local employees are currently undergoing the onboarding process, as Hexaware is actively looking to recruit more talent to its expanding team. A skills team from the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) was introduced to the company by the West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC), and is assisting the company in its recruitment efforts.
R Srikrishna, CEO at Hexaware, said, "We want to deliver personalized services to our large and rapidly growing British customer base while helping build and improve the economy and talent in local communities. Birmingham and the Midlands, with their rich and diverse talent base, offer immense potential to meet both objectives."
Commenting on future prospects, Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, said, ''Last year's trade mission to India helped us to further strengthen our region's economic ties with this dynamic nation on the rise — as discussions advance around a new Free Trade Agreement between the UK and India.”
