FOG Telugu celebrates Ugadi at Fremont Hindu Temple

FOG Telugu hosted Ugadi celebrations at the Fremont Hindu Temple, witnessing a remarkable turnout of over 1,500 attendees. Organized under the leadership of Jo Sharma (Jyotsna), FOG Telugu chairperson, and Arvind Kotha, FOG Telugu president, the event was a testament to the vibrant spirit of the Telugu community in the US.
On the occasion, the temple premises were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors, adorned with festive decorations that captured the essence of Ugadi.
Ugadi signifies the beginning of a new lunar cycle and is a time for spiritual renewal, cultural festivities, and traditional rituals.
The event saw a myriad of cultural competitions, including captivating performances by over 100 dance groups, singing groups, and art enthusiasts.
Additionally, a fashion show featured 75 participants, engaging both participants and spectators alike.
Attendees were treated to an indulgent spread of authentic South Indian cuisine, expertly prepared by the FOG team. These were served in the traditional manner on banana leaves.
The event was a huge success thanks to the countless volunteers who lent their support and unconditional love.
