FBI warns of alleged disturbances during Nagar Kirtan in Yuba City

While the threats of violence are unconfirmed, the FBI is taking them seriously and advises attendees to stay cautious.

The  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Sacramento has issued a warning about potential violence from rival gangs during the Nagar Kirtan event in Yuba City, California, which will take place from Nov. 1 and 3. 

Nagar Kirtan is an important annual Sikh celebration held on the first weekend of November.  It showcases the essence of the Sikh community in America and features exciting highlights like a fireworks show, bazaar, and parade. 

While the threats of violence are not confirmed, the FBI is taking them seriously and wants everyone to be aware. They are advising those attending the event to be cautious and prepared to ensure their safety and report any suspicious activity.

The FBI is also working on a separate investigation related to the recent vandalism of a Hindu temple in Sacramento. Community members appreciate the FBI’s efforts to protect Indian American communities and their active involvement in these safety concerns.
