Nanda Bhagi, a prominent Indian American fundraiser for Donald Trump's presidential campaign, criticized the current administration, stating they have lost their footing and are pursuing radical policies.

Citing issues related to illegal immigration, Bhagi lamented that the country is no longer as it was 25 years ago. “The current administration have lost their ground. They are into radical policies and illegals,” he said in an interview with New India Abroad.

“We want to pass a better country to our kids and grandkids. And only some can do that. I don't think anybody in the Democratic Party can. They are selfish, clueless, and ignorant, and they just want their big boss orders followed without looking at next-generation kids' future,” Bhagi said.

Bhagi expressed that Donald Trump has the best chance to win the upcoming election by targeting undecided voters from the Democratic Party and independents. He emphasized that Trump already has strong support within the Republican Party, having secured 100 votes from the convention.

“Now he has to focus on people who support Democrats and see what their likes and dislikes are and be their leader too, because ultimately you want to be the president of the USA not just the president of the Republican Party,” Bhagi added.

Indian diaspora contribution to Trump campaign

Bhagi stated that for the Trump campaign, there are 220 finance executive bundlers, and he is one of them. The Indian Diaspora raised over $65 million in the last election and are aiming to achieve the same figure this year, he revealed.

According to Bhagi, there is a strong response from the Indian American community in terms of fundraising, especially from Indian doctors and hoteliers who are eager to host events in Florida, New Jersey, and New York.“Indian doctors and Indian hoteliers are always chasing me for having an event in Florida or New Jersey or New York. We have more than three active requests pending,” Bhagi said.

Bhagi expressed optimism that within the next four months, there will be at least three events organized for the Indian community, with significant excitement and support for Trump.

“People who support Kamala Harris, they are blind Democrats like me. I was a blind Democrat for 15 years, supporting Bill Clinton to Obama,” Bhagi said. “Most of the Indians are doctors, and engineers, they don't have time to see what's going on. For them, the Democratic Party means freedom and liberalism, and they don't know the next details about the damage and destruction this party is doing,” he added.
