Charu Suri to present latest album in Carnegie Hall

According to an official statement, her  latest album, ‘Rags & Ragas’, topped international jazz charts and reached  No.3 in the U.S. and  No.1 in India on iTunes.

Award-winning Indian jazz artist, Charu Suri is set to perform at the iconic Carnegie Hall on April 5, 2024. This will mark her fourth performance at the venue making her the first Indian jazz artist to have the honor.

At the event, Suri will present her latest album, ‘Rags & Ragas’ alongside Grammy nominated artist Max ZT, on the hammered dulcimer. Suri’s orginal composition called ‘Lately’ featuring singer Cassandra Kubinski, will also premiere at during the show. 

Singers Ri Wolf from Texas, Danielle Erin Rhodes, and Sufi singer, Umer Piracha are also part of the Carnegie Hall performance lineup.
Suri most recently completed a sold-out residency at the renowned Detroit Jazz club Cliff Bells. Her work has been performed by Yo Yo Ma, The New Jersey Symphony, Steve Gadd, John Patitucci, and Joe Lastie from Preservation Hall, among others. 

According to an official statement, her  latest album, ‘Rags & Ragas’, topped international jazz charts and reached  No.3 in the U.S. and  No.1 in India on iTunes. The pianist and composer has previously performed at the Grammy Museum, Lincoln Center, Birdland and NCPA Mumbai, 

She has won several awards including a Gold Entertainer of the Year from the International Singer Songwriters Association (ISSA), Intercontinental Music Awards, Global Music Awards and is a voting member of the Recording Academy. She is scheduled to make an appearance at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai, India.
