Capgemini has announced the appointment of Nive Bhagat as the chief financial officer (CFO) and a member of the group executive board, starting from January 1, 2024. Bhagat will be succeeding Carole Ferrand, who has held the position of CFO since 2018 and intends to explore other career opportunities, a company statement said.
“It’s a privilege to have been appointed Capgemini CFO. I am excited to work with the group’s leadership and board to execute on our clear strategy and build on our strong financial footing. I am looking forward to leading the award-winning team to further enable the growth, the margin expansion, and the cash discipline of Capgemini,” Bhagat said.
Since 2019, Nive Bhagat has been serving as the CEO of Capgemini's Cloud & Infrastructure Services, leading a global business unit with over 30,000 team members. During this period, she was also appointed as a member of the group executive committee. Before assuming her current role, starting in 2016, she held the position of head of cloud infrastructure services for the UK and Europe within the organization.
Prior to joining Capgemini, Bhagat accumulated valuable experience at Infosys Technologies, where she spent several years. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in the growth and leadership of Enterprise Solutions in Europe. Before her time at Infosys, Bhagat contributed to the field of Corporate Finance during her tenure with KPMG.
Since 2022, Nive Bhagat has held the position of non-executive director at Schneider Plc, contributing to both the digital and human capital and remuneration committees. Before her role at Schneider Plc, she served on the Board of MITIE Plc, where she was a member of the Audit and Nomination committees. She is a chartered accountant with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
