Ahead of the upcoming general election, the 'Overseas Friends' of BJP UK organized a car rally in London to showcase their unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The rally, which saw participation from over 250 cars, was held following the announcement of the Lok Sabha poll schedule by CEC Rajiv Kumar. Starting at the Kuth Leva Patidar Samaj Complex in Northolt, the rally concluded at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Neaden.

“As the election festival of world’s biggest democracy begins today, Indian Diaspora in Birmingham participated in the Car Rally,” the 'Overseas Friends' of BJP UK said in a post on X.

UK Parliamentarian and Padma Shri recipient, Bob Blackman, participated in the rally alongside members of the Indian diaspora. Addressing the gathering at the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, Blackman expressed his support for the rally's cause. The diaspora members in Britain were seen proudly holding up both the Indian Tricolour and BJP flags during the event.

During his speech, Blackman emphasized the importance of the rally and highlighted the crucial role of the Indian diaspora in influencing the future of their home country. He described the upcoming general elections in India as the 'largest democratic exercise in the world.'

The diaspora also took part in cultural programs and prayers during the London Car Rally. Children performed a Ganesh prayer before the start of the rally.
