BJANA celebrates Teej in NJ

New Jersey's Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA) celebrated the Teej Festival in the traditional manner at the Om Sri Sai Balaji Temple in Monroe. Community members celebrated this occasion in an effort to spread awareness of and appreciation for different cultures.
The monsoon season is marked by Teej, a major Hindu festival celebrated primarily by women. This celebration began with the traditional Teej puja, where BJANA women gathered to pray for the health and happiness of their families and friends.
Anurag Kumar president, and Sanjeev Singh vice president of BJANA, expressed their excitement about the event, stating, "Teej is not just a festival; it's a celebration of culture, tradition, and togetherness. We are proud to bring this festival to our community and share the joy and richness of our heritage."
BJANA's Teej festival provided a unique opportunity for diaspora families to immerse themselves in India's vibrant traditions. Rajiv Akhaury, a member of the temple organized the event at the venue to foster a sense of community and cultural connection among community members.
