The Bahethi Family Foundation, founded by Om and Sara Bahethi, recently donated US$ 25,000 to the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) to fund youth STEM programs called CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers.

The donation will allow the non-profit AFA to expand its reach and encourage STEM education among the youth.

CyberPatriot is a cyber education program, while StellarXplorers helps high school and middle school students foster careers in space, aviation, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.

Welcoming the new sponsor, Stuart Pettis, director of the AFA STEM program, said, "We are delighted to welcome the Bahethi Family Foundation to the wonderful group of supporters working with AFA to promote STEM education across our nation.”

“The Bahethi family have been involved in AFA STEM programs as volunteers, and they know the importance of empowering young people in science and technology, and we're thrilled to have their support,” Pettis added.

Caitlyn Dreux of the Bahethi Family Foundation, said, “We take great pride in our partnership supporting AFA's STEM programs. Together, we are united in our commitment to enhancing equity in STEM education and closing opportunity and achievement gaps."

Om and Sara Bahethi established the Bahethi Family Foundation (BFF) in 2012 to empower individuals in the field of science and technology. Since its inception, the couple has donated over US$ 3 million to scholarships, schools, colleges, and universities across the US and Rajasthan, India.

The couple moved to the US from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in 1960. Later in 1977, after working at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for a contracting company, they branched out to form a company called Science Systems and Applications Inc (SSAI).
