Aura appoints Ravi Narula as chief financial officer

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its financial leadership, Boston-based digital security firm, Aura appointed Ravi Narula as its chief financial officer (CFO). 

The decision comes as Aura ramps up efforts to drive revenue growth and enhance its market position, an official company statement revealed.

Prior to joining Aura, Narula served as CFO at Certinia where he played a pivotal role in orchestrating significant business transformations that resulted in substantial improvements to both top and bottom-line performance, culminating in a successful exit and delivering considerable value to shareholders.

He has also held the CFO position at Ooma, where he spearheaded the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2015, showcasing his expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes. 

Narula will report to Hari Ravichandran who is the company’s chief executive officer.

Calling Rav’s appointment an excellent choice Ravichandran said, “Ravi is a highly experienced technology services CFO with a proven track record of financial and operational success in a complex and quickly evolving industry.”

Narula was honoured as one of the top 25 CFOs in San Francisco in 2023 by Finance and Investing. He has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Garhwal, India, and completed the CFO Leadership Program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Additionally, he holds CA designations from both India and Canada, along with the CPA (inactive) designation in the United States. Beyond his corporate achievements, Narula is also committed to philanthropy and serves on the Board of ChildFund International, demonstrating his dedication to making a positive impact beyond the boardroom.
