TimeX Bank CEO Arun Subramony said that India must try to enhance trade ties with the US through negotiation efforts with international organizations such as Quad (Australia, Japan, India and the US).
Speaking to New India Abroad in an exclusive interview, Subramony laid focus on developing a relationship with Quad to maintain India's relevance in the overall trade surplus.
"If you look at India's exports to the United States, we have made some real significant jumps in the last decade. But to continue with that momentum, we need to impress upon several organizations to help us, including Quad, which will help us to make ourselves relevant in the overall trade surplus that we need to have with Western countries and Western Europe," said Subramony.

QUAD was formed as an anti-China military platform and not an economic platform. India is in a very strong position. 1) 1.4 billion people 2) increasing buying power 3) Young population 4) Unemployed population This is what is attracting the world. To make money. India should leverage that. It does not need QUAD or the west to talk anti-China and anti-Russia while it builds up China and Pakistan who hurt India's interests directly. It also has a unique relationship with Russia, Iran, Middle East, Israel, Japan and other countries in its backyard.
