Anai Patel joins Cloud5 Communications as CFO
The announcement came a month after the finance professional assumed his role at the company.
Chicago-based Cloud5 Communications named Indian-origin chartered accountant Anai Patel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on September 12. The announcement came a month after Patel assumed the position at the company. The company provides communications and technology solutions for more than 5,000 hotels, multi-dwelling units, and commercial facilities across the Americas, as per its website.
“Cloud5 continues to set itself apart through the depth and expertise of our team,” said Mark Holzberg, President and CEO of Cloud5 Communications. “We are excited to welcome Anai and leverage his expertise and experience to help lead our organization towards even more impressive market growth.”
“I’m excited to join Cloud5 and leverage my strategic financial experience to guide the company in seizing new opportunities within the industry, expanding its product set, and designing solutions to help customers optimize their IT and telecommunications assets and improve their end-customer experiences,” said Patel, as per the company release. He was handed over the CFO mantle by Rupal Patel (no relation) who moved into a part-time finance and advisory role focused on Cloud5’s contact centre business unit.
Patel is a business mathematics and statistics graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Before joining Cloud5 Communications, he worked with UK-headquartered, Chicago-based company, Essentra, where he moved up the ladder from a corporate development director to VP of Finance.
His earlier experience also includes roles in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and project finance at KPMG and in public policy and strategic finance at the UK’s HM Treasury, as per his LinkedIn profile.
