Actor Chiranjeevi sets Guinness World Record
The ‘Megastar’ was recognized as the Most Prolific actor and dancer in Indian Cinema, with a record-high 24,000 dance moves throughout his 46-year career.

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has entered the Guinness World Records as the most prolific actor and dancer in Indian Cinema. The award was presented to him on Sept. 22, coinciding with the anniversary of his debut in 1978.
The most prolific film star in the Indian Film Industry – actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star (India), achieved on 20 September 2024,” the official award citation read. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and a representative from the Guinness World Records handed over the record plaque during a ceremony.
Chiranjeevi, fondly called "Megastar" by his fans, earned the record for his remarkable dance performances, featuring over 537 songs and an estimated 24,000 dance moves throughout his 46-year career. While the Guinness World Records team verified 143 films, Chiranjeevi has starred in over 150 movies.

Accepting the honor, Chiranjeevi expressed gratitude, stating that he never imagined setting a world record. He thanked his producers, directors, music directors, choreographers, and fans for their continuous support.
Actor Aamir Khan praised Chiranjeevi’s dance legacy, remarking, “He enjoys every move, and because of that, we can't take our eyes off him. His joy is infectious, and we all feel it as we watch him.”
Prominent film director SS Rajamouli, who was among the first to congratulate Chiranjeevi, posted on social media, "What an incredible 46-year journey! Congratulations to Chiranjeevi garu on achieving the Guinness World Record."
