ZEE5 Global, the world's largest streaming platform for South Asian content, announced the world digital premiere of 'Tejas,' starring Kangana Ranaut.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the action-packed thriller is set to premiere on January 5, 2024, exclusively on the platform.
'Tejas' narrates the story of a determined young woman aspiring to become a fighter pilot, challenging stereotypes in a male-dominated profession. Ranaut takes on a never-seen-before avatar as she portrays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. The film explores themes of bravery, dedication, and the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
The narrative follows Ranaut's character as she embarks on a mission to rescue an Indian spy from terrorists holding confidential information, with the kidnapping linked to an imminent attack on India.
Sharing her thoughts on the film, Ranaut said, "With 'Tejas,' our aim was not only to entertain but also to shed light on the passion and sacrifices of the armed forces. Through this film, we hope to address the challenges faced by those in uniform and inspire a collective responsibility to honor and respect them."
