Shri Thanedar, an Indian American Congressman, has received the endorsement of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party for his reelection campaign in Michigan's 13th congressional district. The democratic primary is scheduled for Aug.6.
Wayne County Commissioner and 13th Congressional District Chair Jonathan C. Kinloch emphasized Thanedar's commitment to his constituents, stating, "The 13th Congressional District Democratic Party is endorsing Congressman Shri Thanedar for his dedication to serving his constituents, maintaining open lines of communication, and making a real difference in the district.”

“His achievements include introducing and supporting significant legislation, and he has been a vocal advocate on critical issues affecting our community, “ Kinloch said in a statement.
Congressman Thanedar expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, highlighting his efforts to bring federal resources to the district. "I am grateful for the endorsement of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party. My focus remains on addressing issues such as social security checks, IRS refunds, and veterans' benefits.”
“As a member of the Small Business Committee, I am committed to streamlining SBA services and supporting entrepreneurial ventures in our district," said Thanedar.
Thanedar represents Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, which encompasses 775,179 residents across 20 communities within Wayne County. He was elected to the US House of Representatives in the 2022 elections. His campaign has received significant support from key Democratic leaders, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Whip Katherine Clark, and Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar.
